My wife (Julia) and I stayed here for our honeymoon 29th Dec 07 - 02 Jan 08 and found it ideal. Although a little more shabby than the pictures on the website show, the room we had (66) was quiet (It had no views as such because it looked out over the back of the other apartments) it also did not have the stated hairdryer. The staff were very friendly and helpful even booking venues for us. It was really useful having the metro station so close. Breakfast was simple but all we needed and there were some great places to eat nearby (Nord Sud by the Metro was very good). We didnt spend much time in the hotel because we caught the Metro each morning into the city and returned in the evening. We would both reccomend the hotel and we would stay there again. Its a very good small independant hotel which more or less offers what it says on the website.

Three of us stayed in the triple room in late August 2007 for 3 nights. We loved so much about this hotel. We chose the hotel for the location. I have stayed in Montmartre before and choose to not stay anywhere else in Paris. I love this area. It was new to the other two people in our group and they loved my choice of accomodations. The rooms and bathroom were very clean. The staff were excellent. Breakfast was okay. We pre-bought it and did it only one morning. The other mornings we strolled down to the local patisserie for fresh croissants and other pastries then headed to the cafe on the corner for espresso. Everything you need is a very short walk ... fresh markets, cafes, bars, even the metro which we found was very easy to get on and jump down to the center of Paris. Very few connections to do so. I am now planning my next trip to Paris and taking my 10 year old nephew for his first time. Hotel Eden Montmartre is on the top of my list of places to stay!

Great little hotel to stay in if you're in Paris for a week. We stayed here during Thanksgiving, and the accomodations were cozy. The safe in our room was a perk, and the bathroom was large and clean. The bed was a little stiff, but you get used to it. The important thing was that it was clean and neat. If you need internet service, I suggest a laptop with a wireless card and a subscription to www.orange.fr, as they have no internet connections. ABSOLUTELY GREAT location for transit, as both the 13 line (Jules Joffrin) and the 4 line (Marcadet Poissoniers) were within walking distance, as was the direct route to Sacré Coeur (Rue de Mont Cenis). Great brasseurs (breweries), cafes and bistros are also within walking distance, as was the Monoprix (France's version of Wal Mart), located behind the hotel (Rue de Poteau). Think of Greenwich Village in NYC and you'll get the general idea. It was that kind of great neighborhood! I definitely would book here again for our next trip to Paris!

We spent a week in Paris in late August. A friendly welcome, a helpful staff around the clock and low room rates considering the great location in the middle of the beautiful Montmartre district. The next Metro station (Jules Joffrin) is not even 200m from the hotel. Free city maps and metro plans can be found in the hotel lobby. Get a ParisVisite card for 1, 2, 3 or 5 days as early as possible - there is no easier way to move about. The room was small with hardly any space for our suitcases, but that was expected and there are larger rooms available at the hotel. Breakfast was slightly sparse, but you can always upgrade it later by getting fresh croissants, baguettes, fruit etc from the supermarket (Franprix) or small shops (bakeries!) just around the corner (Rue du Poteau right behind the hotel). Our room on the second floor overlooked the street (great atmosphere especially in the evenings/at night), so there was traffic noise when the window was open. But with a closed window no sound intruded! Though on our floor you could actually feel the Metro rumbling by underneath the hotel... which added to a unique atmosphere rather than annoy us. Overall, a very affordable hotel offering better than average quality and service. We felt very comfortable there!
